    Poem: Imagine – 08/01/21

Imagine a world where there was no rough,
    no deception,
    no lies,
    where words from saints,
not sinners were more than enough.

Where the angels dance upon clouds so light
that I can barely control my immense delight,
imagine a world where brightness is assured,
    we glow,
    they glow,
among the great oblivious and unknown.

    Clipped contractions do not exist,
allow the sunlight to bless with her breath the mist,
    strength in armour,
    strength in the soul,
    gather the heartstrings,
    envelope emotions whole.

There is nothing more to say,
but the words will be cast on,
like little fairies they glide in the wind,
    gentle and sweet,
    reverent and strong.

    Acknowledge this world before you
    open your eyes,
    there’s nothing left to question,
    no fall left to take,
    no demise.

  • Poem: Bright Stars – 07/11/20

    Poem: Bright Stars – 07/11/20

Bright stars shine in my eyes,
I soak them in like they’re available to take for all mine,
to pluck at them and stow away into my hidden spaces,
into the cracks and tears that have been left by the decisions
that I thought wouldn’t result in this,
where time is the only cure.

    I’ve never been here before,
beneath this sea of sparkle that
    encompasses and revolutionises
    my mind and memories,
I wonder what to do with them,
should I be without them all?
So used to company by my side and now,
replaced by ghostly air because of my doing,
    truth in truth,
    all in all,
    an undoing.

At least I have the stars to sparkle and shine for me,
at least I have their light to guide me,
perhaps I can shine brighter than them,
    after all,
they are dying or already dead.

I still have my glisten. It’s just hidden beneath my layers.

    Poem: Floating – 22/12/19

     Here I float,
in this ether of dreamy fluffiness,
in this air of pillowy indefiniteness,

     where I am swimming,
     arm over arm I transport
     my body, less than willing
     from the beginning,
     where did it start?
     it’s all so blurry.

     The billowing surroundings breathe
     around my form
     as though they are carefully
     brushing, pressing, enveloping me
to create a sense of protection
     to be truly brought forth.

And now I decide to ascend,
into a reality that’s perfection for this
     aching corporal form itself.

     Allow me to float higher,
allow me to rise so freely,
permit me the sanctions of allowance
to wipe away past human sins.

     The freedom of moral purging
     expunges the inner darkness
     of its deepest historical seeds,
     and the effect of cleansing
     it duly permits
can be endlessly felt and seen.

     I am a rising spirit,
     an ethereal being
     now free of earthly sin.

Watch as I become at one with
     earth and air,
     I am now purely immaterial,
     I am no one,
     of my former self,
     there's nothing there.
