Poem: Thrown Shades – 22/08/20

The colours splashed, slashed onto the page,
now mirrored onto the canvas by the
painterly effect of an artist’s hand which is unafraid.

She throws the shades freely,
brightly they shine,
evoking memories from a far more potent time.
Β
An enveloping of emotion carries her away
to prior circumstances,
she dances with paintbrushes until the morning,

from night into day
she waltzes and parades with them,
carrying momentous tones and hues their way.
