    poem: spellbound – 26/03/22

This is inspired by a prompt on Instagram called ‘Spellbound’ from @mlhmusings. The title alone inspired me to write this piece, which is admittedly very different from how the artworks would have guided me on their own.

    Title: ‘Spellbound’

I am spellbound by you, little darlin’,
the little us which may never come to be,
I am dreaming of you, sweet darlin’,
the most precious princess we might ever see.
Mesmerised I am by you, darling,
thoughts of mystical magic you will flash,
sweetheart, will you ever share your life?
    so many trials and tribulations
    threatened to thieve your conception,
your true inner light will outlast.

Some don’t encourage your arrival, dearest being,
neither cajole nor inter you to shine
the glory of your wondrous face: divine,
the mildest then brightest expressions need
    never go to waste,
    apple of our eyes…

My heart, our hearts, we shine with you,
the ability to distinguish and slice through pain,
    Love will carry us through,
    a close-knit family,
    finally, our own,
    wishes naught yearned for
    nor cried for in vain,
together, our lives will finally ring true.
    same, same and same.

Our precious being, won’t you see?
how eagerly awaiting we are for you
    to breathe,
    darling, view us, hear me,
we welcome you with open arms,
    embrace your family,
Star-child who decides to grace us,
    visit us from afar,
    accompanied by divine melody,
    sent from eons up above.

Poem: rise sprite rise – 13/11/21

    lightly lightly sprite
    take your time
    fly, soar, your flight
    is delayed
    but it is so warranted,
    you’re finally here
    rising above the trees
the blossoms into the skies so sweetly
and so you ride the atmospheric dreams.

    your heart is bursting, full
for you have announced your intention
to live with graciousness and wildness
    both extroversion of your abilities
to be beautiful internally and outwardly
you know that nothing truly matters
    but the moment
    this moment
    this moment itself
for like a butterfly you’ve those
    three days of freedom
to be whatever you please —
    flit amongst the breeze
and to be, to be, to be
    sprite become lightness
    amazing in your abilities
    your self-belief is uniquely pure
and its come as greatly as you pleased
but you worked hard for it
    for this fleeting occasion
treasure it will you in your dear heart
    admirable is your dedication
    yourself, your life, your self-improvements,
    your strength, your resilience
    became so much more than
you ever dreamed you would be
and now, let the waves be ridden
    the blustering breeze be strong
    around your hair
    fairy wings,
    be prepared, World,
    for you are finally there.

Poem: Trust Me Yet – 29/10/21

    Think not of the
    worries of our times,
    instead, be inspired by life,
    everything there is to gain,
    appreciation, let it soar,
    gratitude flow from within,
    it’s not so difficult to
    change perspective,
    from negative to positive.

    With practice, it’ll come
    with time,
    events to ponder,
    take your time,
    I understand sadness
    might linger within,
    but look for more
    than this papery feeling,
    if you try, you can
    begin certain healing.

    And when this occurs,
    feel the multitude of
    amazing emotions soar,
    uplifting be the memories
you chose to pluck from the
    air of your hemisphere,
    personal, yet becoming
    comfortable public property,
    and then you will know
    the magic of true intent,
    the purpose of gaining wisdom
    about oneself, your mind,
    you’ll make it,
    trust me.

  • Poem: Quiet Questioning – 05/06/21

    Poem: Quiet Questioning – 05/06/21

    I could ask myself,
    “Why?”
    That wandering,
    unanswered question,
    a syllable that lingers long
    into the distance,
    so uncertain,
    unsure,
    unfulfilled.

    I could utter this word,
    this sound into the future,
    allowing it to precede
    my sure footing, my beginnings.

    I could cleanse the
    ease and order,
    the pride and circumstance,
    which comes with knowing
why it is that certainty lives in the
    way that I now prance,

    the true knowing I hold
    in the once-tentative footings
    in my Land of Inbetween
    where I fumbled
    and floundered,
    until I found my grounding
    and then my ascension
    into sureness
    and forever
    which can be quietly seen
    yet boisterously heard.

    Need not have I for
    questioning any longer,
    yearning, calling forth
    for answers from
    the gloom,

    how did my moments
    become so fulfilled
    and imbued with personal power?

    Why? With knowing myself –
it didn’t happen in mere hours.

    Becoming wiser through
    past moments,
    through histories,
    Life reflects what I
    have learned,

    I rest my head,
    I’m done,
    I’ve cherished those
    Why, Why, Why’s,
    self-indulgent enough,
    I wave them goodbye.
    Forever?
    I am sure.
