Poem: rise sprite rise – 13/11/21

    lightly lightly sprite
    take your time
    fly, soar, your flight
    is delayed
    but it is so warranted,
    you’re finally here
    rising above the trees
the blossoms into the skies so sweetly
and so you ride the atmospheric dreams.

    your heart is bursting, full
for you have announced your intention
to live with graciousness and wildness
    both extroversion of your abilities
to be beautiful internally and outwardly
you know that nothing truly matters
    but the moment
    this moment
    this moment itself
for like a butterfly you’ve those
    three days of freedom
to be whatever you please —
    flit amongst the breeze
and to be, to be, to be
    sprite become lightness
    amazing in your abilities
    your self-belief is uniquely pure
and its come as greatly as you pleased
but you worked hard for it
    for this fleeting occasion
treasure it will you in your dear heart
    admirable is your dedication
    yourself, your life, your self-improvements,
    your strength, your resilience
    became so much more than
you ever dreamed you would be
and now, let the waves be ridden
    the blustering breeze be strong
    around your hair
    fairy wings,
    be prepared, World,
    for you are finally there.

    Poem: Welcome – 24/10/21

I await the moment when we will meet,
eyes mixed with perplexity and curiosity,
unsure of what to expect, or what will be said,
but a connection, there will be, and not only
    in my head.

I will smile at you, shyly,
    you will beam with ease,
making it easier for me to approach,
or you to draw closer, indeed I will know,
    as will you,
    that this moment is pivotal,
    something refreshing, anew.

In our lives, we will welcome
    laughter and delight
and everything great that I could fathom,
    there’s something important that comes
    with realising the truth,
    knowing what will come,
and dreaming is what I shall do.

I will welcome you and this moment,
    whenever it is right,
    my walls are already lowered,
    I am not complicating life,
there is no circumstance anymore that will
    stop our meeting day,
    listen to me, softly, World,
the time seems almost right –
    this I will say.

    Poem: Serenity – 14/10/21

    Serenity is all around,
    waiting to be discovered,
    happened upon, found,
    mesmerising is the state
    when I reach it,
    enveloping me
    as of late.

    The beauty and wonder
    are present within me,
    I glance within,
    watch my being flower,
    I’ve not known this
    peace before,
    what an ultimate surrender.

    Envisioning now what it
    means to be at ease,
    truest feelings
    like calm breeze
    between hovering leaves,
    and admirable,
    amazing too, it is
    to finally see
that which was told to me,
    serenity – I’ll be.

    No longer on edge,
    anger of yesteryears,
    this past is history
    even if there’s trepidation ahead,
    I’m feeling no fear
    because I am at peace,
    wonderful sensation,
    relaxation, a bubble as
    wide as my outstretched arms,
    precious heartbeats
    dictating this life
of which I am now sure.

    I am living in wonder
    and knowing real happiness,
    this warbling feeling within,
    in my chest –
    oh, how I am blessed,
I have nothing to yearn for,
    precious gratitude do I express,
    I am thankful,
    in my solitude, in company,
I have had this joy expressed
    by close others,
    now I’m experiencing it,
    and here can I rest.

  • Poem: Springing Forth – 10/10/21

    Poem: Springing Forth – 10/10/21

I feel a sense of hope,
    of positivity and
    brightness,
    I need not want
    for anything
    because happiness,
    I already have it,
    it’s that glimmer of
    ostentatious gold
    which drips with
    wanton thread,
grasping my eyes with its beauty,
wonder to the skies to be had.
    This hope is already present,
    I finger it, golden beads,
    like rich fruit dripping from
    luscious mango trees,
    and here and now,
    with gentle abandon
    I will come undone,
    this superfluous yet entirely
    wanted feeling of joy
    springs forth,
    Hope, my friend, of you,
    I know.
    It’s not like anything I’ve
    experienced before,
I cannot fathom this dire need
that begged me to change, change, change
    for my outlook
    was pessimistic indeed,
    but with this glimmer,
    these shining drops of sparkling
    gold that I clutch
    tightly to my chest,
    I am happy,
    I am present,
    I smile without corners
    of my mouth trembling,
    I’m comfortable,
    and this is a fact.
I can look each of you
in the eye and tell you
    with conviction indeed
    that my heart is again
    beginning to blossom
    and I’m doing it,
    purposefully, on my own,
    with subtle ease,
    can’t deny myself from
    embracing happiness,
    joy,
    I won’t allow any to
    dampen my spirits,
    if you’ll let me,
permit me to rise with you,
    together, discomfort,
    unease,
    we can conquer it.
    Bliss can only be
    but fingertips away,
    present, invisible in
    the moment,
    yet experiences waiting
    to be had
    day by day,
    it will only take
    introversion,
    delicacy,
    and confidence in myself,
    and telling myself
    I am worth it,
    there is always justification
    to further delve.

    Poem: Sentiments – 07/09/21

    A tirade inside
    flows with voluptuous sentiment
    from the lips of one
    blue in the face,
    feelings of entitlement,
the inability to quieten down the torment,
or seemingly distract oneself from something
    deep within, and dormant.

    Treasure not those memories,
    incorrectly saved,
    interpreted experiences disgust for
    another day,
allow the truths to come forth,
    blatant, flooding like a river,
    still,
    discomfort at knowing
    that there was something awry,
    rest upon the windowsill,
glance away at the wanton Moon.

    The voices within the soul,
reside in the mind of cracked cranium,
a wonder that the bravery is not part of them,
displayed with justice, observed with hope,
their pathway can be traipsed around all
    one likes,
but without intention what is the point
in delving into the complexities of things,
    of their mind,
when there’s nothing positive or learned to see?

    Diatribes now,
    deranged, delinquency,
causing curses upon everyone close to me,
me? Where do I come in the journey,
I’ve not been ropable for a while,
until now, until this very moment,
I will dismount my stallion, golden horse,
and wipe away the negatives, the undesirable durations,
    others’ sad inability to change.

I will converge, I will create, I will continue
to rid this world of hate,
for what is done when I’ve performed my will?
What shall we be left with?

Poem: Amalgamation of Intention – 27/08/21

    Being aware of the signs,
    the euphoria,
    the joy of the times,
    the expansive brightened
    colours as they present
    while my soul begins
    to delve.

    The natural high
    developed into true knowledge
via life, nevermore shall I worry
    about contemplation, nor irreverent Strife!
    I’ll pluck from the heavens
    amongst the amalgamating
    cloud patterns,
    an internal direction
    flows as I breathe with
    my dreams,
    absorb their intent,
    my gorgeous search
    for the rest of them.

    For, I am in alignment
    with my path,
    a seismic shifting
    after tumult,
I’ve reached this point at last,
    wanting to give back
    to the world,
    cease to take,
    those times,
    selfish duration,
    it seems I currently have
much to give, as of late!

    My direction makes
    light work of human aid,
    being able to provide,
    a listening ear,
    aware eyes,
    soft voice,
    gentle nature on display
melding into the finest of days.

    My light and intention,
    true desire to provide,
    assist,
    give,
    such satisfaction achieved
    in my heart and theirs
as we freely smile and breathe.

    It’s as though I needed
    to assert these thoughts,
    jot them down,
    recited, no longer
    internally heard,
    a vow to humanity,
    a truth of personal bliss,
    to give to humankind,
    expansion of love,
    the truest way to live.

    Poem: Weeping Willow – 25/08/21

    Weeping willow reminds me
    of stormy challenges,
    of riotous heart poundings,
    of emotional damages.

    Weeping willow, fretting leaves,
gives me a sense of hope,
    her bent back fingers
    laze,
but within her, their pathway I know,

    like me, like you,
    as her,
    she represents such harmony
    within our souls
    there’s nothing raw nor taut
    if we’ve accepted that
    this world occasionally brings storms,
    and challenges and tribulations,
    crashing thunder, frightful thunder
    within our scope,
    within the pain, the suffering,
    the madness,
    we. are. able. to. cope.

    My weeping willow,
    garden feat’
    enlivens me,
    when she shows me that
    acceptance of turmoil is right,

    she’s there shrouding in the
    dead of night,
even if I ask her if new, bold,
    resilience is right,
I know, down to the last detail,
    every leaf, every length,
    what is mighty,
    being strong, fruitful,
    in this life.

    Fingers dragging
    but perception is
    calm, and the forecast
    is bright.

    Micropoetry: Boldness – 24/08/21

    Be not bitter nor jaded
    but grateful, sublime
is this life we are living
if we don’t allow precious time
    to pass by, unrecognised
    unwanted,
    ambiguous truths be told,
    live a metamorphosis while
    your inner beauty becomes,
    be brave, take the reins,
    be bold.

  • Poem: Bright – 21/08/21

    Poem: Bright – 21/08/21

    Nothing to be depressed about,
    so positive,
    so joyous – so free,
    encumbered paths we could say
but ecstatic I choose to be,
it’s about which side to view
    and walk alongside Life,
    I could pinpoint, acknowledge,
    tiny points of strife,
    elaborate,
    with magnitude,
    some attitude filled with,
    rife,
    with annoyance, with irritation,
    or feelings of ‘discrimination’.

But the truth is I’m blessed
to be here, well and breathing,
    the strength, resilience, in
myself and others I am seeing,
I could list all that’s here for us,
    right and lasting,
    lingering,
    hope, especially,
    is something I am carrying.

I am grateful for my health,
    my family, my dear friendships,
    my comforts, and deep love,
    Life’s material things,
    those which bring comfort,
    music, sound, paint,
    art, colours, company combine,
    I don’t chose to inhabit positivity —
    instead it’s bred within me.

    Cast aside, long ago,
    the feelings of downbeat,
    downtrodden,
    the ‘world’s against me’s’,
I didn’t need to be like that,
    to live like that,
    it was so stifling,
    couldn’t breathe.

    Negativity can suck one into
    its slimy, vicious grasp,
    no enlightenment within,
to exist then – what a task.

Turned about face to the sun,
    arms thrown open,
    embrace that amazing warmth,
while I could find saddening points to exist upon,
    I’ve decided instead to be
    bright, bright, bright,
    radiance fills my lark-song.

  • Poetry Collaboration by Amber and Lauren M. Hancock – Chrysalis of Hope – 16/08/21

Poetry Collaboration by Amber and Lauren M. Hancock – Chrysalis of Hope – 16/08/21

Nestled in the womb of creation,
    perils face the existence of human civilisation;
    birthing much chaos and delirium,

    unknowingly, we settle in,
unaware of what our future both promises
    and what it may bring,

    ever-open hands reach for warmth
    outside our hollows,
    to worldly next-of-kin.

Hope bears feathers, perched in soul,
    humming a frequency beyond words;
the eternal cacophony gifting gold from the unknowns,

    upon this hope we glide,
and then, as though, now sliding into
    pirouettes with symphonic style,

the treasure bears more than we believed
    able to be delivered,
let us adore these with calming eyes,

ecstatic hands, while feathers drift, softly land,
vivid types of wisdom only known to
    enlightened woman and man.

    The imprinted consciousness
    upon the soothed clean conscience
    of our astral journeying pillows

    embodies the archaic knowledge
    of the ancients whose remedies
    and generational lineage lays

    patiently in hibernation for the
pivotal metamorphosis of the spiritual development
of man amongst turmoil of the cyclical yugas.

    In chrysalis, we lay,
pods enclosed with passion, with verve,
    growing, minutely, each passing day,

    fragments becoming whole,
engorging ourselves, we know that when
we enlarge our intentions, and mend and heave hearts,

there is no matter in internalising
    this primordial knowledge
other than understanding we are coming to a close,

    and still the beginnings, unknown,
our subconscious thread speaks of moments,
instances, which enlighten even if we do not fully attend,

but it is with innate knowing,
    with peace and passion,
that hopefulness and truth breathe as a whole.
