Poem: what do you say? – 02/12/21

what should I do, per se,
    when you smile at me
and my stomach turns flips fills with butterflies
    for days
in a haze I am saved from the embarrassment
    of utter utter bashfulness
your warmth makes me grow with intent
    braver by the moment
and I ask how was your day
and what did you do as you laid quietly contemplating
    thoughts come what may?

did my image cross your mind
    pass in your thoughts
taut and taught the memories we have wrought
but what matters most is not that moment
when our lips touched in my mind
in my heart you will stay
contemplate me, my presence in your life
    allow me to stayyy…

    prisms of understanding
    growth factor sighing
    bright eyes reflecting
    and amazing amazing
could we be if you would allow me to be
    me,
    with you, in your world,
    what do you say?

    Poem: finally – 26/11/21

    bounce baby
    let me rise with thee
there was only one path for us
    and that’s true destiny

    we are anything but circumstance
we are everything wild and planned
we are perfection hand in hand
    and scan my heart
    to find the true lands

we will walk side by side
    you smilingly and I glory-feels
your company is what I’ve always needed
it only took years to succeed

tell me now did you miss me
did your first breath you gasped
    you realise
    there was a piece missing
and now i’m here by your side

be careful, bay-leaf, for your heart
    I will never flee
    understand
    need
    see
that I’ll always be there for thee
    and thee for me —

    lifetimes apart, together
    finally.

Poem and Spoken Word: last night – 22/11/21

I carried a hope for you and I to be whole
    to know it all together
    for positive growth
there might not have been patience
    but there really was truth
I could not ask for more but
explanations that I could only view analyse and
    so I knew

I prayed for you to love me
    to understand me further
as I tried to understand you
there’s no case in not wielding the ability
    for self-sacrifice, I know
but if you won’t communicate how can I show
    patience knowledge true kindness
    but confusion anger upsets reigned
because I didn’t realise what was
    going on in your life

this life, our lives perhaps will align
they may not please others but I have to watch out
for those who control their understandings of myself
and have known me over the years

    enough, enough,
    stop this nonsense, madness,
    I can’t promise a thing just like
you cannot promise me the world
because there’s only so much I feel
    that you can give
    but love me love me
love the world as you love them and you love us

    Poem: steely gorges – 10/11/21

    bombastic
    the moment is fantastique
when I shudder with deep peace
    it’s overall amazing
    but consequences consequences
    of this goddamned show
    pantomime the pleasure, suffering,
    will I watch it go?

I acknowledge it is worthy of being much adored
    the events forthcoming
    unexpected
    yet awaited
    something silently asked, yearned for
    it’s inherently palatable
this desire we can call home
but indulgences in memorandum are dangerous
won’t we desire them less? No, let the heart roam.

brightened sets of eyes sharing the same thoughts
    hands extended, belly-fire,
knowing we are each other ours,
    to find that other
    to share the feelings
    the same desire
    perspirations
    knowingly
    entered into sufferings
    because together they don’t seem
too harsh, abrasive, in the end

consequences are now like a steely dance
consumption of the knowing urge is like
    icing on soft gorges
the curvatures on your back allows me to
    slide and slip away
let me lick the air of delicate understanding,
share our moments for another day.

Poem: Trust Me Yet – 29/10/21

    Think not of the
    worries of our times,
    instead, be inspired by life,
    everything there is to gain,
    appreciation, let it soar,
    gratitude flow from within,
    it’s not so difficult to
    change perspective,
    from negative to positive.

    With practice, it’ll come
    with time,
    events to ponder,
    take your time,
    I understand sadness
    might linger within,
    but look for more
    than this papery feeling,
    if you try, you can
    begin certain healing.

    And when this occurs,
    feel the multitude of
    amazing emotions soar,
    uplifting be the memories
you chose to pluck from the
    air of your hemisphere,
    personal, yet becoming
    comfortable public property,
    and then you will know
    the magic of true intent,
    the purpose of gaining wisdom
    about oneself, your mind,
    you’ll make it,
    trust me.

    Poem: Welcome – 24/10/21

I await the moment when we will meet,
eyes mixed with perplexity and curiosity,
unsure of what to expect, or what will be said,
but a connection, there will be, and not only
    in my head.

I will smile at you, shyly,
    you will beam with ease,
making it easier for me to approach,
or you to draw closer, indeed I will know,
    as will you,
    that this moment is pivotal,
    something refreshing, anew.

In our lives, we will welcome
    laughter and delight
and everything great that I could fathom,
    there’s something important that comes
    with realising the truth,
    knowing what will come,
and dreaming is what I shall do.

I will welcome you and this moment,
    whenever it is right,
    my walls are already lowered,
    I am not complicating life,
there is no circumstance anymore that will
    stop our meeting day,
    listen to me, softly, World,
the time seems almost right –
    this I will say.

  • Prose: River of Consciousness – 15/09/21

Prose: River of Consciousness – 15/09/21

I feel the river of consciousness flowing, the flow of ethereal joy growing, and the prism of light shine and increase within me, a quiet sense of knowing. Knowledge that life will continue to improve, it is with focus and intent that I’m aware I’ll keep this view, with positivity, an ample amount, enough to dampen any sense of fear or doubt, in myself I have trust and the knowledge that to myself and close others, I will be able to remain devout. There can be occasions when I wonder, have I strayed from the righteous path, was there something awry I performed, or have I mistrusted, an inability to inadequately and naively discern, when really I should have upped and away without a goodbye, from past experiences, perhaps still never having learnt. And the truth of the matter is that often there are circumstances which call for the separation of one from another, without occasion, without proper rhyme or explained reason, for the state of the spirit, it is required to be done, to be gone away from them, without a single word. Their hearts, once appearing warm, have turned cruel and unkind, perhaps self-serving, in a short time. Others, certain types, will be afforded soft explanations, but these may be few and far in between, sometimes nothing is warranted but a deft ascension. A momentous breaking, of a declared separation, of something that turned out to be a farcical and unwarranted, something only aiding a certain type of them. And now, as I listen to quiet flow, of gentle meditations, I know that everything will be fine, for I am allowing this to be so, in subtle time. The tick-ticking of the two room clocks no longer perturbs, but sets a gentle precedence for one another, incorrect in a way, but right in a type of odd style. As though falling into each other, meant to be there for every second for one another, endless, ongoing, with stoic fervour. Isn’t it nice when we are here for one another? A calming click-click, as the seconds tick unevenly with the softened music within my ears makes me calm, flow with the river as I speak from my spirit within, rolling out with words to speak, not with anger, not with a din, with a wave upon wave of undulating rings.

    Micropoetry: A Tremulous Tribute – 28/08/21

    disarming intimacy
so comfortable to let him in
    conversations about everything
    emotional closeness
    no need for physicality
feel the heartbeats through our laughter
    ponder-patter irreverent chatter
knowing that to him, my voice does matter.
    accepting our trysts
    of personal powers
    so far yet so close
    feel our united pulse
    warbling and smiling with ease
    the past doesn’t determine
    we playfully tease
    building a stronger bond
    through wonderful rapport
    knowing should I falter
he’ll help me seize these oars.

  • Poem: Adore – 20/08/21

    Poem: Adore – 20/08/21

Tempt the temptress, her former lucid life,
where round and about the memories
    her behaviour once was rife,
and haunting her, within her sheets
    is music sounding on repeat,
    that jingle jangle, emotive, replete,
    hanging on the edge,
fumbled footsteps on a road so steep,
into history these words shall keep.

Taunt not the woman for being dumb-
founded by the options before her,
numb, was she, her vision pure,
    or so it seemed,
    far less than demure.

But undertaking the melody is syncopation,
    unexpected haunting dreams,
    the -ah-ah-ah of off-beat rhythms,
    heartbeat pounds, beating mallets,
    her ribcage is the prison.

Because it was her heart that was the cause,
the prisoner, too, so wondrous yet lost,
yearning for that which should come to be,
would it ever be? Her soulmate, would she see?

Understanding there are many out there,
    available to pick-her-apart,
and knowing that which would also drive,
sending her mind and pulse, alive, alive!
    But it was required, really,
    that her baggage be left,
at the entranceway before her path
    could be walked yet,
    reaching, open arm, open hand,
    open palm,
    for someone to love her,
    and him in return.

The bittersweet madness of the executed times
    would send her cursed tale
    forward, centre, and front,
but care little would the true one,
the one who will decide to watch her with
    widened, adoring eyes,
sweep her in his arms and enliven himself
with her wit, her truth, her character, intelligence,
    and charms,
    no excuses, no lies.

She does not boast, she knows truly within,
she’s worth much more than bad behaviour
    experiences,
    expletives within!
    Wipe away times of hurt,
    unappreciative, taunting words,
    moving forth to the future,
where she won’t ever need to call for anything,
    anyone,
yearning? No, hear her, watch her eyes learn.

Goodness will come to those who listen
    at every turn.

  • Poem: ‘Tween Hearts – 15/08/21

    Poem: ‘Tween Hearts – 15/08/21

    Wonder streams through gaps
    ‘tween trees,
    shrubbery welcomes gusty breeze,
    laughter twinkles above horizon seam,
    magic brightens eyes,
I’ve no inclination to leave this scene.

    Hands entrust
    something precious ‘neath
    benevolent sun,
    heart pounds,
    mood ecstatic,
    forged bonds,
    yes! Cries of yes
    affirms tearful nods.

    It’s the beginning
    of something precious,
    glimmer in excess,
    gems cut a shine,
    refractions bold,
    I stress,

    dances of rainbow shimmer
    upon her delicate finger,
    his proud chest puffed forth
    in a glorious manner,
    as though a proud peacock,
    strutting about now
    with his love,
    eternal partner,
    fervent dove,
    his salvation,
    his lucky treasure,
    his precious love,
    now and forever.

    The breeze bears witness
    to this union,
    cemented, emphatic,
    bold and nuanced,
    there’s admiration within her eyes,
    his cast grateful passion
    as he glances nigh,
    for they are as one,
wondrous breeze streams past their joy,
    circumstance is hearts quickened,
    such beauty before I.

    And now I retreat into
    the freshness of the forest,
    thinking I’ve viewed something
    so special,
    deep down, I know,
    I am aware, that
    his manner, so articulate,
    and her acceptance,
    thus glorious,
    is enough to decide
    that in my life,
    I’ll welcome every warm,
    heartfelt circumstance
    with enveloping acceptance.
